Connecting With Future Talent

Recently, representatives from Brett businesses have attended multiple careers fairs to engage with students, graduates, and job seekers. These events provided an opportunity to present the career opportunities available within Brett businesses, share industry insights, and discuss potential career pathways.

The events attended include:

Kent and Loughborough University Careers Fairs

Ethen Adaway, People Officer at Brett Group, and Jacob Lewis, Graduate Trainee at Brett Aggregates engaged with students, helping them explore career opportunities and internships. Both days were well attended, with excellent upcoming talent in Environmental Sciences and Chemical Engineering interested in a future at Brett.

Derby University Careers Fair for Apprenticeships Week 

Katie Purves, Developing Leader at Brett Group, and Becky Denny, Graduate Trainee at Brett Landscaping and Building Products, both attended the Derby University Careers Fair Apprenticeship Week to highlight the apprenticeship opportunities and career development pathways as part of National Apprenticeship Week. This event provided opportunities for the Brett trainees the opportunity to connect with the minerals course leader, as well as attend alongside industry peers Heidelberg and Breedon.

Stoke High School, Ipswich Careers Fair 

Samuel Tarr, Project Delivery Manager at Brett Group, attended the Stoke High School Careers Fair to provide insights into career pathways and industry opportunities for young people. There was strong interest around the Sizewell development, where attendees had the chance to engage with EDF and experience a virtual tour of the completed site.

Department For Work And Pensions (DWP) Sheerness Careers Fair 

Lizzi Forrest, Sales Coordinator/Dispatcher at Invicta, attended the DWP Sheerness Careers Fair to offer valuable guidance to job seekers exploring career transitions and new employment opportunities. The event provided a platform for individuals to connect and gain insights into potential career paths.
