Brett 110 - Helping Out At The RSPCA

As a part of the Brett 110 year employee volunteering initiative five people from Brett Aggregates Eastern Area chose to spend their day helping out at the local RSPCA rescue and rehoming centre in Martlesham.

The Martlesham RSPCA centre helps animals in the local area through rehoming, rehabilitation and provision of services such as veterinary care, neutering, microchipping and advice. It is a registered charity and 95% of its income comes from fund raising with the rest from donations and profits from the shop on site.

The task the Brett team were given was to paint the woodwork around the newly built kennels to protect it for the winter.

Rachel Wright from Brett Aggregates said "On the day there were several dogs in residence however most were taken out for their walks and then shut in their kennels whilst we did the work so as not to stress them out too much. We all enjoyed the day and the staff at the centre really appreciated our help."

The team of volunteers were: Joanna Caley, Laura Gregg, Peter Gould, Jenny Watts and Rachel Wright from our Waldringfield Offices and Quarry.

Well done!
