Brett Group Becomes 100% Owner Of Britannia Aggregates

The Brett Group has recently acquired Tarmac’s 50% shareholding in Britannia Aggregates, and as a result is now the sole owner of the company.

Britannia Aggregates has operated as a joint venture company over the past 30 years, dredging marine aggregates from the English Channel and the North Sea and delivering into Brett Aggregates’ facilities at Cliffe, Northfleet and Ipswich, as well as external customers.

Bill Brett, the Brett Group‘s Chairman commented, “We warmly welcome Britannia's people to the Group. Full ownership of the business, which includes the ship, the Britannia Beaver and the rights to the extensive marine reserves that she dredges from, further strengthens and supports our strategic position in the Southeast as we continue to develop and invest in our marine aggregate facilities.”
