Brett 110 - Volunteers Mucking In

A team from Robert Brett House recently volunteered at Cobbs Meadow, a Riding For The Disabled (RDA) riding school. The RDA charity gives people with both physical and mental disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the countryside on horseback or in a carriage. The experience helps to improve co-ordination, balance, muscle development and fitness and also helps to boost confidence and communication skills.

Cobbs Meadow is in Chartham in Kent and relies on charitable donations and support to maintain this service for local people.

The team from Brett spent the day laying concrete, fence painting and grass cutting, giving the school much needed dung miden for the muck piles and the outside school a face lift and weather proofing.

The volunteering team on the day were:

Nigel Fisher, Henry Carter, Tracy Carver, Emma Dawson, Rob Dodgson, Richard Ford, David Greenaway, Sue Johnson, Gregor Mutch, Shyam Pankhania, Carly Pope, Carla White.

Well done!
