We work hard to be a considerate neighbour and responsible member of the Jersey community. Here are just a few ways in which we get involved.
Granite Products Sponsors Island Book
Seymour’s Seaside Picnic’ is a charming book about the adventures of Seymour Bear. It is a rhyming tale of friendship and the joy of living in Jersey written by a local author, Penny Byrne, who invited children across the Island to help finish the book by contributing illustrations.
Profits from book sales will go to Jersey Child Care Trust, a small, local charity making a big difference for children living with disabilities and/or adversity and offering support for them and their families.
Simon Clowes, General Manager of Granite Products said, “We are so pleased to be able to support this great charity in our local community.”
In 2019 the charity supported 39 children with special educational needs and/or disabilities in 19 mainstream private nurseries providing over 9,850 hours of support. Without the charity’s support, these children would not have been able to go to nursery.
Penny Byrne, who is also a Trustee for JCCT, commented, “Thank you to Granite Products for their amazingly generous sponsorship. We are so excited about how many people this project is reaching and involving, as well as the funding raised.”

Poppy Truck' Support For The Royal British Legion
Granite Products has shown its support for the Royal British Legion by branding one of its mixer trucks on the island with the charity’s logo and messaging.
On Friday 8th November, Gary and his Royal British Legion-branded truck supported a group of Chelsea Pensioners who were fundraising in St Helier’s Royal Square, then on Saturday 9th, they could be found outside the St Aubin Parish Hall, helping to raise awareness and collect donations for the charity.
On Remembrance Sunday, Gary took the truck to Le Braye for the start of a charity bike ride across the island, before moving on to St. Mary to attend the traditional service of Remembrance.
A spokesperson for the Remembrance Day Ride said, "A huge thank you to Granite Products for attending with their truck for the Poppy Appeal".

Hoggin Home For Meerkats
For many years, Granite Products has supported Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, both through sponsorship and the donation of a range of products.
Founded by Gerald Durrell 50 years ago, Durrell is unlike a normal zoo as its primary focus is on protecting endangered species and global environments.
To celebrate its 50th birthday, Durrell opened a new meerkat enclose, five times larger than their existing accommodation. Granite products provided hoggin and other quarried materials for the base to help ensure that the meerkats don't escape their new domain!
Kevin Bowler, Director of Granite Products, commented "Durrells have been very successful in protecting endangered species and environments. We're delighted to be able to help such a worthwhile cause.
