Brett Aggregates Sponsors The 2024 Chertsey Agricultural Show

Brett has recently sponsored this year’s Chertsey Agricultural Show, a local community event that brings people together to enjoy a variety of displays presenting the beauty of the British countryside.

Hosted by the Chertsey Agricultural Association (CAA), the show is the only remaining agricultural show within the M25 and over the years it has developed into a day out for all the family. Visitors can enjoy a variety of countryside displays such as livestock competitions featuring cows, goats, pigs, and sheep, as well as show jumping and dog agility courses, as well as floral art competitions. The event also provides a space for motor vehicle enthusiasts attending to display their classic cars and motorcycles.

This year’s show was held over a sunny August weekend, and was attended by Damian McClean, Regional Operations Manager at Brett Aggregates, and his wife Sharon McClean, as well as Graham Potts, Site Supervisor at Brett Aggregates, who had his own vintage car on display.

At this year’s event, Brett Aggregates once again sponsored the young herdsman class, a class of the cattle show in which children aged 14 and under were able to show off their prize cattle to be judged based on areas such as coat quality and overall condition, with the winner from the U14s class being presented with the Brett Aggregates Shield.

Damian McClean said: “It was a pleasure to attend this year’s Agricultural Show, we were able to see many features of the British countryside, including the livestock competitions, show jumping, and taste some of the locally produced food, as well as see the classic cars and motorcycles.
