Brett Group Supports National Apprentice Week

During National Apprentice Week Brett Group held a dedicated networking event in Kent. The early talent event gave all of the 19 Brett Group apprentices and T level students the opportunity to meet senior leaders from across the business.

Two apprentices Charlize Hoang, Business Administration Apprentice in Britannia Aggregates and Harriet Brett, Lab Minerals Technical Apprentice in Brett Aggregates gave presentations to share their experiences so far in the business. They outlined the different sites they had visited, what they had learned about the business as well as the training and support they had received.

Charlize said: “I am a career switcher, I came to Brett with a degree in design and animation, but now have the opportunity to pursue a career as a project manager.  I feel Brett care about people and have helped me to find my strengths.”

Harriet commented: “I wanted to work for a company that I knew would invest in me and make me feel supported...I get that here. And I'm looking forward to the future.”

Sam Follington, Head of People at Brett commented “The aim of this event was to give our apprentices and t-level students insight into the different business areas, career pathways and the opportunity to network with other early talent individuals.” 

Bill Brett, Chairman commented “Our people are at the heart of our business, supporting our early talent is extremely important to our long-term future.”
