"As an apprentice engineer at Brett landscaping, I’ve settled in well thanks to the supportive culture on site and within my team. As a woman in engineering I feel accepted and valued, treated no differently from the rest of the team. The maintenance department are hard working and committed and this is clearly valued by management. The site at Cliffe provides myself and the other apprentices with lots of learning opportunities due to its diversity, making everyday feel rewarding”.
Jared, Mechanical Engineering Apprentice:
“As an apprentice that started off at a different company and come to Brett halfway through my time, I feel I have been welcomed with open arms into the maintenance department and have gained a large amount of engineering skills and experience. With the amount of varied equipment we have onsite I do new things everyday. The maintenance team I am part of have a variety of skills so there is always someone to help me and teach me new things. I have a good relationship within the department and I feel the morale is high. I feel comfortable talking to the management team with any issues I have and they are very supportive of me and the other apprentices”.
