With growing urbanisation, the increase in hard landscaping, roads, driveways, parking areas and indeed roof areas, has dramatically reduced the capacity for natural, sustainable drainage. This urbanisation, coupled with recent changes in rainfall pattern, means continuing growth in the volume of surface water runoff that traditional drainage systems have to handle:

The patented T- Flow® System is named after the ‘T’ shaped gap formed between individual pavers and is designed for both its aesthetic appeal and its practicality. The shaped spacers and spacer locators give ease of installation (and of particular benefit when utilising machine-laying techniques) and ensures a 5mm joint width which offers a larger drainage area than other systems. These gaps between the blocks are filled with 5/6mm aggregate, allowing water to permeate. This combination of a unique concrete permeable paving block and choice of sub-structure is an effective means of providing a structural pavement (suitable for pedestrian and vehicle trafficking) whilst allowing water to pass straight through the surface into the underlying porous strata - for temporary storage, storm attenuation, dispersal to the ground or collection.

 

T- Flow® is available in Brindle and Charcoal colours with rustic options available for both in 60/80mm, giving a traditional weathered finish.
