Supply Chain Management

Ross Savin, QS, Provian ConstructionWe recognise that our performance is integrally related to the performance of our supply chain partners (sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants) and the way they work with our employees.

Whilst implementation may vary from project to project, the guiding principles remain consistent with our overall aim to encourage the integration of our supply chain partners into the Provian Construction process to:

· Add value
· Reduce cost
· Enhance quality
· Deliver superior & environmentally sympathetic solutions.

Our customer focused approach commands the total commitment of our supply team.  Our Provian values of Professionalism,Vision and Integrity, combined with our Brett Values of Customer Care and Quality, are applied to ensure we work together to exceed our customer’s expectations.

Key suppliers and sub-contractors form an integral part of our project team.  Under QA procedures we operate an Approved List for management of our sub-contractors.  We ensure good working relationships through Long-term association and pay them promptly.  We programme and monitor their works through regular formal on-site meetings with the major Sub-Contractors on a particular scheme to ensure they meet the required standards.   By operating an approved list we use only subcontractors competent in Health and Safety, which minimises future risks.

Our vision is to develop and deliver continuously improving supply chain collaboration, ensuring maximum value is derived for our clients and all project partners.

Our objectives are:
· To provide suitable training and support for all staff engaged in Supply Chain Management
· To achieve the earliest possible involvement of supply chain partners in the design, value engineering and planning process
· To provide joint training programmes for strategic, health and safety and environmental initiatives.
