Ketcham Corner, Sussex

Client: Sanctuary Group

Project: Ketcham Corner, Sussex

Value: £1.25 million

Type of Contract: Design & Build

The South East’s leading main contractor, Provian Construction, has delivered a new housing scheme for Sanctuary Group, one of the UK’s leading housing and care providers.

The project at Ketcham Corner, Sussex, has seen the construction of 14 units, being a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom homes. The scheme has been delivered by Provian for developer Cascade, who is in turn working for Sanctuary Group which has a portfolio of over 78,000 units of accommodation across England and Scotland.

Following concept designs which successfully achieved planning approval, Provian secured the £1.25 million design and build project and appointed architects Giarti and engineers Gary Gabriel Associates. As well as detailed design, Giarti have acted as code assessors for the project as the new houses have been built to meet Level 3 of the Code of Sustainable Homes.

14 new properties feature timber frames with a mix of brickwork and hung tiles externally. They have traditional pitched roofs and offer high performance insulation and energy efficient heating systems.

Provian has an unrivalled track record of high profile projects across the South East, ranging from major BSF (Building Schools for the Future) education schemes to commercial projects for major blue chip clients and civil engineering schemes for major global organisations. The project for Sanctuary does however represent a new milestone for Provian – its first social housing scheme.

Provian’s work at Ketcham Corner involved:

• New build – Home Construction

“We have been strategic regarding our entry into this market. This project for Sanctuary Group is further proof that Provian has the professional infrastructure to satisfy clients in this sector on a repeat basis.”
Roger Maycock, Provian Construction’s Managing Director
