Client: Bannatyne Fitness Ltd Location: Broadstairs, Kent Value: £0.4 million Year of Completion: 2007 As part of the planned expansion of the facilities at Westwood, Broadstairs Provian Construction were appointed by Bannatyne Fitness to extend the existing car park and design and construct an external 1.2m deep, 20m x 8m skimmer pool with in-situ steps and mechanical cover. Works also included a new plant room, fencing, decorative paving, raised decking and low level lighting. The relationship established during the works to the Westwood centre led Bannatyne to call upon Provian Construction again in February to carry out major reinstatement works following a fire at their 65,000sqft Chafford Hundred centre at Thurrock. The blaze tasked the Small Works team with carrying out a £700,000 repair project in just 11weeks with major works to the sauna and steam rooms.
