The works involved planing out of the existing surface course and relaying a new binder course and surface course. The contract, valuing at £154,000, involved extensive traffic management, carried out by a specialist traffic management subcontractor to maintain traffic flows around the busy area. Both sections of road were completed within 4 weeks.
