Client: Kent County Council Location: The Community College Whitstable Value: £0.9 million Form of Contract: JCT Design & Build Actual Contract Duration: 24wks Year of Completion: 2004 The “Centre of Vocational Excellence” was designed and built at The Community College Whitstable for Kent County Council. This was the first of an on-going scheme nationwide and adopted an accelerated fast-track programme of 24 weeks from start to finish with completion in December 2004 to accommodate the client’s needs. The building provides facilities for vocational studies including motor mechanics, IT, construction trades and hair and beauty. Provian Construction continues their allegiance with the college in providing advice and tuition to the college’s construction classes.
