Client: Kent County Council Location: The Community College Whitstable Value: £3.42 million Form of Contract: JCT LA with Quantities Actual Contract Duration: 52wks Year of Completion: 2005 The successful completion of the CoVE project at the College in December 2004 led to the award of a second contract, a “Basic Needs” project to be spread over three phases, whilst the college remained fully operational. The works involved the demolition of existing science block and construction of new 2-storey Science & Technology block along with alterations and extensions to Dining Hall, formation of new IT Lounge and conversion of CDT block into a new Sixth Form Centre.
