Location: Maidstone, Kent Value £1.9million Contract:Standard Building Sub-contract Agreement JCT 2005 Year of Completion: February 2009 Architects: Clague Quantity Surveyor: Clifford Rickards Associates Provian were once again appointed by Kent County Council, this time to carry out works within the Astor of Hever Community School in Maidstone. The project nearing £2 million in value and designed by Kent Architects Clague involved the construction of two buildings along with some modifications to existing areas within the School. A two-storey brick and block framed teaching block houses six new classrooms and a lift whilst the steel framed single storey building creates a new Assembly Hall for the School. The buildings are finished with rain screen cladding in five vibrant shades of blue that brings the new buildings to life, creating a fun learning environment for the students.
