Brett links with BALI to Beat Rogue Traders

Leading industry suppliers, Brett Landscaping and Building Products (BLBP), have worked in partnership with the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), to launch a consumer focused ‘Find a Contractor’ scheme to beat rogue traders.

The scheme, launched in February 2006, offers consumers a ‘one-stop shop’ in finding quality products, and professional design and installation to create their dream garden or driveway.

BALI is the UK trade association representing landscape contractors and designers, who are stringently vetted before being accepted for Association accreditation. By recommending registered BALI members, Brett aims to offer consumers piece of mind in finding a professional contractor, an area all too often overshadowed by a ‘rogue trader’ reputation.

BALI Board Director, Paul Cowell, appeared on the BBC television programme Rogue Traders in September 2005 giving expert advice on best practice in landscape installation. He comments: “It is vital that professional manufacturerers, designers and contractors work together to deliver quality results. With the support of companies like Brett, BALI approved contractors get the recognition they deserve and consumers gain assurance in finding a designer or contractor they can trust.”
The scheme is being promoted in the 2006 Brett product brochure and on their new website, www.brett.co.uk/findacontractor.

 

Consumers visiting the site are guided though a search facility putting them in contact with over 500 registered BALI contractors and designers.
