Holidaymakers enjoying the beaches in Deal this summer have Provian Construction to thank for part of the wonderful view.
In early 2007, we were called in by Dover District Council to help rescue part of the Deal coastline. The stretch of shore along Kingsdown beach, which has been slowly disappearing over the past 6 months, needed 11,000 tonnes of graded shingle, supplied by Brett Aggregates, to protect it against any further erosion.
To prevent the situation from escalating, Dover and Deal Council asked Provian Construction to act fast. In response, the team leapt into action completing the £20,000 contract in just four weeks!
Ratnam Thangavel, Senior Structural Engineer for Dover Concil says, "We were very pleased with the service Provian Construction provided. Not only did the supply top quality products, on time and within budget, but they also restored the access road to the beach once they had finished the contract. We did not expect htis level of detail and were very impressed that they left the site in a perfect state of repair."
With the shingle in place, the beach was restored to its former glory, ready for the summer.
