The second year of the Podplus Three Lakes 5K Charity event took place on Sunday 4th July in glorious weather at the Julie Rose Stadium.
239 entrants took part walking, jogging and running around the three Conningbrook lakes and finishing up back at the Julie Rose and covering land made available by Brett to the local community.
The lakes and stadium were created in 1997 from a part of the Brett Conningbrook Quarry and restored by the company to establish a superb fishing lake and build the internationally acclaimed Julie Rose Stadium.
The 5k route gives a unique opportunity to experience the fabulous countryside around Ashford, passing through some public byways and entering across private land owned by Brett Group, which is usually not accessible to the public.
