Charity Support


In addition to supporting our own local communities, Brett Landscaping & Building Products has this year decided that we will be supporting Cancer Research UK through a series of events, fund raising and Gift Aid.


So why support Cancer Research?


Cancer Research UK is a national charity which supports an extensive programme of research through four key areas: understanding the biology of cancer, developing and improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and improving quality of life.

  

Cancer Research makes a Difference:

 

*  Thanks to earlier detection and improved treatments, 

    survival rates have improved for nearly all cancers.

 

*  Cancer death rates have dropped by 11 per cent over

    the last ten years.

 

*  Breast cancer death rates have fallen by 21 per cent

    in the last ten years.

 

*  More than seven out of ten children with cancer are

    now successfully treated.

 

*  95 per cent of men with testicular cancer are now

    cured.
 
*  The incidence rate for cervical cancer has decreased

    by 30 per cent over the last ten years, largely due to

    screening.

CommunityEvery year Brett Landscaping and Building Products focuses on helping its local communities in Cliffe, Sturry, Faversham & Lydd in Kent and Barrow upon Soar in Leicestershire.

From donations to local cub and scout groups to theatre trips for disadvantaged children and support for junior sports teams, we are pleased to continue to be involved with our local community.
