Chris spent the first eight years of his career with Balfour Beatty and Cementation Group, gaining major civil engineering experience on a number of large projects.
Then working for Tarmac Topmix he progressed through sales and operational management roles across the UK and became Area General Manager. Chris joined the Brett Group in 1990 and was appointed General Manager in 1997. Now as Managing Director of Brett Concrete, Chris manages a forward looking business and sits on the Group Executive. Brett Concrete has been involved in a number of important projects and supplied in excess of 1 million cubic metres to the Channel Tunnel Rail Link by building project specific concrete plants designed to deliver the clients needs.
Chris has held a number of influential roles including Board Director of The Concrete Centre, Chairman of BRMCA – British Ready-Mix Concrete Association, Deputy Chairman QSRMC - Quality Scheme for Ready Mixed Concrete and Chairman of the UK Concrete Platform. Chris currently sits on the MPA Concrete Steering Group.
Away from work Chris likes to spend time with his two daughters and follows football and rugby and enjoys a round of golf.
