Excavation for Industrial Units, Suffolk

 

Brett Plant and Earthmoving carried out the Bulk Excavation works, at a former TXU Energy site in Stowmarket, Suffolk. 

 

The contract brought the challenge of working under live cables that were positioned over the site. 

 

With health and safety of paramount importance, through strategic planning and consultation with the main contractor to establish their exact requirments, a method of work was agreed utilising a Bulldozer to carry out all excavation work within height restricted areas under live electrical cables. 

 

Approximately 2000m3 of soil was excavated and carted off site.
